Pieced wood is made mainly of wood from planted forest. Wood strips are processed with advanced technology and machines. Wood is sawn, shaved, milled, joined, pressed, rubbed and finally coated. Pieced panels are used widely in carpentry, interior decoration, flooring manufacture and many other furniture products.

There are 4 ways to assemble wood strips: parallel, surface, side and corner. Parallel laminated wood consists of wood strips that are of the same length, while their width can be different. For surface laminated wood, short strips are connected by teeth shaped at their ends to make equally long strips, which are then joined parallelly to form large panels.

Currently, furniture made of pieced wood has become common in most of the big cities and developed provinces. It has many superior features such as not being subject to termite, not shrunk or bent, diverse in designs, good color fastness resulted from processed surface, and highly resistant to shock and scratch.

Most importantly, pieced wood is made mainly from planted forest wood or recycled wood, so it is a perfect alternative material in the furniture industry when natural wood sources are becoming rarer, supporting us in achieving the sustainable development goals.
